Por primera vez, la famosa lista The World&#8217;s 50 Greatest Eating places (celebrada anoche en Londres) inclua entre sus reconocimientos el Premio al Mejor Sumiller del Mundo (Beronia World&#8217;s Greatest Sommelier Award), galardn que ha recado en el sumiller espaol y copropietario del El Celler de Can Roca.<\/p>\n<p>Galardn inesperado: &#8220;No saba que los 50 Best iban a entregar este nuevo premio. <strong>Es la primera vez que ponen el foco en el mundo de los sommeliers<\/strong> y que delante de toda la comunidad de la gastronoma se le haya dado al vino esa importancia, igual que a la cocina y la pastelera, ha sido muy bonito&#8221;, apunta en esta entrevista telefnica Josep, a quien la ovacin que anoche escuch en el Previous Billingsgate, antigua lonja de Londres donde se celebr la gala, <strong>le puso un poco la &#8220;carne de gallina&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bonito y quiz hasta con un poquito de justicia potica podramos aadir, porque &#8220;J<strong>oan ya tena el del mejor chef; Pero el risueo, expresivo y alegre matre y sumiller -a quien le gusta decir de s mismo que<strong> es &#8220;un camarero de vinos, s lo soy&#8221;<\/strong>&#8211; no es un novato en esto de los premios, no solo como miembro de la <i><strong>santsima trinidad<\/strong><\/i><strong> del Celler<\/strong>, sino tambin de manera particular person.<\/p>\n<p>Tomen nota: Nacional de Gastronoma al Mejor Matre de Sala (2004) y al Mejor Sumiller (2010), el de la Academia Internacional de Gastronoma al Mejor Sumiller (2005 y 2011), el Gueridn de Oro al Mejor Matre de Sala (2013)&#8230; Galardones varios que <strong>siempre suele agradecer y hacer extensivos a esa profesin que tanto admira<\/strong>: &#8220;Recibir un premio es una oportunidad para agradecer y compartir. Lo quiero compartir con equipo y con tod@s los camareros y camareras que puedan leerme. Desde el bar ms sencillo al restaurante ms exclusivo&#8221;, escriba hace un par de semanas en su cuenta de twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Algo que repite ahora tras convertirse en el mejor sumiller del mundo -The World&#8217;s 50 Greatest Eating places, <i>dixit-<\/i>. Curioso hasta la saciedad, lo suyo es un aprendizaje constante. &#8220;Hablamos de una bebida viva en la que hay grandes retos, sobre todo ahora que las condiciones del clima tambin provocarn un cambio de vida en los viedos&#8221;, adelanta.<\/p>\n<p>Cuentan que el primer contacto del Pitu nio con el universo vincola tuvo lugar <strong>en la bodega -ubicada en el stano- de la fonda que sus padres<\/strong> regentaban (Can Roca). Y siguen diciendo: apenas tena 8 aos, pero period capaz de llenar seis botellas de vino de una vez, moverse con soltura por el comedor y<strong> hablar con los clientes (&#8220;a veces, en patines&#8221;<\/strong>, recoge su perfil en El Celler de Can Roca).
