M\u00e9xico tiene una presencia estelar en esta edici\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de C\u00e9sar Rodr\u00edguez (Tepic, Nayarit), cuya trayectoria se ha consolidado en temas de derechos humanos, migraci\u00f3n y medio ambiente.. C\u00e9sar fue galardonado en la categor\u00eda de “Proyectos a largo plazo” por su trabajo titulado “M\u00e9xico, un clima cambiante” que documenta, con una sensibilidad conmovedora, los efectos devastadores de los desastres ambientales en el pa\u00eds, desde la erosi\u00f3n costera en Tabasco hasta la escasez h\u00eddrica en Monterrey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uno de los elementos que hace especial esta edici\u00f3n de World Press Photo es que celebra los 70 a\u00f1os de la Fundaci\u00f3n World Press Photo y los 40 a\u00f1os del Museo Franz Mayer, por ello, adem\u00e1s de las im\u00e1genes ganadoras de 2026, se suma “El archivo”, una muestra especial curada exclusivamente para el Franz e integrada por 33 fotograf\u00edas hist\u00f3ricas (ganadoras de a\u00f1os anteriores) que salen por primera vez de los Archivos Nacionales de los Pa\u00edses Bajos. Se incluye \u201cSeparados por el ICE\u201d, la Foto del A\u00f1o 2026 de Carol Guzy, una imagen que captura el momento en que Luis, un migrante ecuatoriano, es detenido por agentes del ICE frente a su familia en un tribunal de Nueva York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
