Act II – The Fall of Icarus marks a new chapter in Giuseppe Di Morabito’s ongoing story — a single creative journey told across seasons, revealed piece by piece in one annual show.
After exploring the power of technology in Alone with the Stars, where the humanoid Ameca symbolized the awe and unease of scientific progress, the designer now turns his gaze to myth. The legend of Icarus becomes a metaphor for human ambition — the desire to reach higher, to transcend limits — and the inevitable risk of falling. Yet here, the fall is not a tragedy, but a revelation: a return to one’s essence, a moment of rebirth.

The collection transforms this idea into fashion that feels both ancient and new. Porcelain corsets adorned with roses, crochet and macramé dusted with crystals, armor-like bodices fused with pearls and metal wings — each piece blurs the line between fragility and strength. Stockings dipped in saline solution grow crystal formations; frayed lace wraps around the body like molten ribbons; soft feathers meet sharp tailoring, creating silhouettes that tremble with tension and desire.

The palette moves from black and white to earthy neutrals and flashes of burning red — colors that speak of vitality, courage, and sacrifice. An AI-generated soundtrack underscores the show, echoing the dialogue between origin and innovation.
This is not a fall that destroys, but one that enlightens. From the roots of tradition rises a renewed creative force — reaching once more toward the sky.
