But, unfortunately, sometimes recognition from international awards is needed to showcase the talent and creativity of chefs and restaurants in Colombia. The World’s 50 Best Restaurants is a prestigious and highly anticipated list for both foodies and industry professionals alike. Not having a Colombian restaurant featured in the 51-100 ranking can be seen as a missed opportunity to showcase the country’s culinary gems to a wider audience.
However, this setback should not diminish the immense talent and hard work put in by the chefs and restaurateurs of Colombia. It’s only a matter of time before the world takes notice and includes Colombian restaurants in the upper echelon of global cuisine.
