For Spring–Summer 2026, designer Jorge Luis Salinas draws inspiration from the Danza de las Tijeras — an ancient Andean ritual recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The dance, known for its skill, strength, and spiritual energy, becomes the heart of Salinas’s new collection: a tribute to movement, endurance, and cultural pride.

Every piece reflects this spirit through precise tailoring, sculptural volumes, and handcrafted details that seem to dance with every step. Entirely made in collaboration with Peruvian artisans, the collection merges haute couture craftsmanship with ancestral techniques, telling a story of identity, tradition, and empowerment.

Instead of the vivid tones usually associated with the dance, Salinas chose soft pastels — a thoughtful choice meant to express its dual nature: movement and stillness, sound and silence, earth and spirit. The result is a poetic balance between strength and grace, tradition and innovation.
“My goal is for each garment to be a bridge between past and present; for tradition to dialogue with contemporary design and, above all, for the world to know the cultural richness of our land,” says Jorge Luis Salinas.
With SS26, J.SALINAS offers more than fashion — it’s an emotional journey that celebrates art, heritage, and feminine power. A call to move, to dare, and to embrace one’s true essence with courage and authenticity.
